Privacy Policy: Tee Cartel Pinterest App

This privacy policy explains how TEE CARTEL (teecartel.com) handles information in our Pinterest app (the "App"). The App is a private, internal tool that we use to manage Tee Cartel's own advertising on Pinterest. For how we handle customer information in our online store, see our store privacy policy.
Who uses the App
The App is used only by the Tee Cartel team. Team members use it through an AI assistant (Claude, by Anthropic) running on our own computer, which calls the Pinterest API for us. A team member reviews and approves every change to our ads before it is made. The App is not offered to the public, and it does not let anyone else connect their Pinterest account. It connects only to Tee Cartel's own Pinterest business account, with permission we grant through Pinterest's standard sign-in (OAuth).
What information the App accesses
- Basic details of our own Pinterest business account, such as the username and account ID.
- Our own ad accounts, campaigns, ad groups, ads and budgets, and their performance reports (for example spend, impressions, clicks, saves and conversions).
- Our own boards, Pins, product catalogs and product groups (read only).
The App does not access or collect personal information about other Pinterest users. Ad performance data is provided by Pinterest in aggregated form and does not identify individual people.
How we use it
- To report on how our own Pinterest ads are performing.
- To create, edit, pause and set budgets for campaigns and ads in our own ad account.
- To choose which of our own Pins and products to advertise. The App does not publish Pins or change our product catalog.
We do not use Pinterest data for any other purpose, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Storage and security
Access tokens are stored on our own secured systems, never in public code or shared documents, and only the Tee Cartel team can use them. Reports we download are kept in our internal business files.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share Pinterest data with third parties, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles of anyone. Service providers that run our systems (such as cloud hosting, software tools and the AI assistant described above) may process this data on our behalf, only to operate the App and under confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Retention and deletion
We keep Pinterest data only as long as we need it for our own reporting and record keeping. When the App's access is revoked in Pinterest, we delete the stored access tokens. To ask about or request deletion of any data, email hello@teecartel.com.
Pinterest's terms
We use the Pinterest API in line with Pinterest's Developer Guidelines, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Changes
If we change how the App handles information, we will update this page and the date above.
